Thank you unsung Heroes!

This graphic made by Mark Gosingtian became viral after Typhoon Ondoy struck our country on September 26, 2009.  I also made a post like this one way back then and now, I'm bringing it back again to inspire each and everyone of you!

The worst of crises, of disasters, always brings out the best in People.

During the height of  Hanging Habagat's (Southwest Monsoon) wrath, we've heard of many reports of heroism. Many people took in neighbors, relatives and friends, as well as friends of those neighbors, relatives and friends. Others acted immediately for relief operations. There were also countless reports of people and nameless rescuers giving up their own lives just to save others. I was really "moved" by these acts of good deeds.

"Habagat" once again resurrected the spirit of "Bayanihan". Habagat took care of moving many houses and it's contents, but people have stepped in to help each other reconstruct not just homes but people's shattered dreams and lives.

Thank you unsung Heroes!
God Bless the Filipino People!
Kapit Bisig mga Pinoy!

  1. As said, there is a hero within us that is waiting to be unleashed. And it voluntarily comes out especially in difficult times when ordinary Juan need a hero. I feel so proud of our race. We are a culture raise in sensitivity and grace, in compassion and love. It's innate in us to extend our hands in times of crises.
